The Interfaith Dental Clinic is an initiative from Christ Church Cranbrook and the Muslim Unity Center, with support from Delta Dental, the Delta Dental Foundation, Dr. Rouzana Hares, and Dr. Craig Hammond. Founded in 2022, the clinic provides dental care to those who are uninsured or require services not covered by Medicaid. Patients are referred through refugee resettlement agencies, community organizations, and various faith communities.
Rev. William Danaher serves as Executive Director of Interfaith Dental. In 2026, he received the Public Service Award from the Michigan Dental Association for his work with the State of Michigan to provide dental care to the uninsured and underinsured.
The clinic works by activating a diverse network of private dentists to deliver professional care to those in need. Volunteering is simple and flexible, as dentists provide care in their own offices, determine the treatment plan they deem appropriate, and receive reimbursement through an email submission process.
